Special planning considerations for retail customers in a busy international airport: customers with luggage. Normal aisle shelving can create dead end conditions when blocked by someone with a roller suitcase, and oversize aisles would limit available shelving.

L-shaped bookshelves organize two primary browsing areas with multiple entry and exit points. This lowers the likelihood of customer congestion as opposed to traditional row/aisle shelving, while staying within target shelving density.
